From the twitters:

Creative Economy Census – The Results

Following on from last years graphical display of the creative economy of Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole; the exercise has been repeated – only this time bigger and better!

Once again an online survey was distributed to almost 300 creative agencies based between Lyme Regis and Christchurch.  It was also posted in the usual places on LinkedIn and Facebook and pimped out relentlessly on Twitter, but the determination paid off and over 200 businesses responded, giving the clearest indication yet of the shape, size and success of the Dorset Creative Economy (thanks by the way, to everyone who took the time to respond).

These results were then analysed by Wise Old Uncle and a very talented team of final year BA(Hons) Graphic Design Students from Arts University at Bournemouth (@samstanistreet, @charliergregory, @w_kimberley and @designbycraig) and the results transformed into a brilliant and hopefully very useful infographic.

This year the survey asked some additional questions such as are you members of any professional trade associations?  Or have you won any awards or accolades recently?  Individually the answers to these additional questions don’t tell us too much at all, but when viewed as a whole, they paint an extraordinary picture of the sector across Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole – a picture we should all be extremely proud of.
