Thanks for this excellent post Damian.

This is exactly why we started Meetdraw: to create an open, sharing, community where we can all grow from the help and support we get from each other.

I know there's always going to be skeptics and those that are afraid of joining in, but we're very proud of what we're building here and there's a great many people gaining positives from these events.

I'm sure this will continue to build as we strengthen our digital tribe in this part of Dorset.

Never a truer word said Damian - although i for one have always defended you when others thought you were crazy...
I've just read a terrfic book on this subject: 'We Think' by Charles Leadbeater, that backs up everything you've said and offers real-world examples of this type of work in action (interestingly Bournemouth's very own Adido Solutions built the website that Charles' book used to prove his point).

And i think you'll find there's a few more than 30 agencies and STILL enough work to go around...

Sorry but that's me in White sunnies (which someone had an abusive but suitably amusing anecdote for) and lumberjack shirt in full-on mid-life crisis garb (thanks David Burton) Fab evening but I had to leave early so apologies to all if I appeared rude. Full credit to all involved. Again!

Rob, the toes thing is just a coincidence. Plus it's hard to tell the exact number of toes due to the webbed nature of our hobbit-like feet.

I was gutted to miss Meetdraw 6 but hopefully we'll have a full contingent of Butchers at the next one. By all accounts this event was spot on so you lazy good-for-nothing students have got your work cut out for you!

Thanks again to everyone for helping out with the event, without your hard work and support it wouldn't have been possible and a big thank you to David and Dan for putting together a splendid event without my interference.

By the way, good work on the blog post David!

Us students obviously know how to have more fun then you old folk ;) MeetDraw7 will be the best yet!

On another note, Meetdraw6 was pretty good, great location, good (but short) game of rounders which Team RedWeb (and future RedWeb placement student) should have done better in.. if only Rob didnt run himself out....

I've been to 3 Meetdraws now and this one was definitely the best. I like how the evening wasn't all about mingling, but had some cool events and games going on as well. It was a beautiful evening and the atmosphere was perfect. A fantastic job all round by those involved!

Now, I'm involved in the student take-over and I can certainly say we're ready to raise the bar. Us young'uns are gonna teach you a lesson or two!

Btw, isn't seven the average number of toes-per-foot on someone from Dorset?
